Dear GEC Members,
Here are a few quick reminders as our conference will be taking place online in 2 WEEKS! We're getting excited, and hope you are as well.
- Most importantly, we are extended the deadline for proposals to Friday, November 11 at 5 PM CST (GMT-6). All edits to proposals not yet accepted must be completed by then as well. We do not suggest that you wait until the last minute because you will have the opportunity to self-schedule your session once accepted, and the conference calendar fills up quickly.
- Please remember to include some sort of global aspect in your proposal. We are NOT an ed tech conference nor a general education conference. Read our mission to know if your proposed session will be a good fit. We also recommend reviewing accepted proposals for inspiration.
- Accepted presenters, if you have not scheduled your session yet, do it now! Also make sure to review training materials, use our practice room, and/or drop in one of our scheduled Blackboard Collaborate training sessions.
- We are in need of more Spanish (or other language presentations). Remember, we also have a new dual language strand as well for the conference. Contact Tomas Chaskel or Maria Colussa if you need help. We have a group especially for Spanish speakers, too.
- If you are presenting as part of iEARN's Annual Conference, please make sure your proposal goes through their process, not the regular GEC proposal process. iEARN is running their annual event in tandem with our and use a separate proposal system.
