Full Session Description (one paragraph minimum):

In this session, Andrew will review the Global Competencies and related 4 frameworks published through groups such as Oxfam and the Asia Society to provide a base knowledge of the learning objectives we can use to target through games. Andrew will then explain the aspects of good games, from collaboration to assessment and situated learning experiences. He will show how great teachers have already used games in the classroom to teach content and 21st century skills. Examples will include Minecraft, World of Warcraft, and other serious and non-serious games. He will propose examples of how these games and others can actually teach and assess the Global Competencies, with sample projects and/ lessons. He will then ask audience members to collaborate on lesson designing for this purpose.
