Full Session Description (as long as you would like):

This presentation will explore case study data that was collected from three sites (Ohio, USA; Quito, Ecuador; Costa Rica). The three preservice and inservice teachers (and elementary students) at each site created a virtual field trip about their school. The virtual field trip included facts about the state or country, foods, interesting places, and the culture of the surrounding city and school. Data was collected in the form of teacher interviews and virtual field trip artifacts. The findings explain how teachers created these virtual field trips, and what their students learned as a result of creating their own and viewing other school-based virtual field trips.
