I'm a teacher and curriculum writer for Journey North, and educational non-profit project that engages students in the study of seasonal change and animal migrations. You may know about us: www.learner.org/jnorth.
We offer some great opportunities for students across the Northern Hemisphere to partner through hands-on projects such as the tulip Test Garden experiment. You and over 400 others plant tulip gardens and report when they emerge and bloom. Follow the wave of spring as you predict and learn many skills related to maps, weather, geography, math and science.
Several of you showed interest in my collaborative site. So I have created a group on my site and brought you all together. Now you can use all the collaborative features in a safe secure online place especially for our students.
For those who would like to join please let me know.
Looking forward to collaborating with you all
Regards,
Reena

Reena -- forgive my tardiness in replying to your very kind actions regarding the global collaboration possibilities. How do I access the group on your site?
Hi, everyone connected with this slobal project for fifth grade. I`m a Chilean teacher , I teach English as a second language in a private school and my students are all boys. I`m sure they wouldn`t like to share cooking recipes but there might be another topic to connect and get involved with your group, if you want us in.
We are based in Fayetteville, GA (just outside Atlanta). We are a nonprofit founded by two elementary students. Carter starts 6th grade and his sister Olivia starts fifth. They attend Rising Star Montessori which is a small school (about 100 students). We could possibly connect our schools as soon as school resumes in about a week from now. We also work with a few schools in South Africa and i am sure we can get them connected with you as well.
In the meantime, please check out our Rhino Letter Writing Campaign and let us know if your school might be willing to help send us letters for the initiative as well:
