Full Session Description (as long as you would like):

Expand your students’ horizons!  Come and hear about web-based simulations and writing projects, available through the University of Michigan, that bring your students into ongoing learning relationships with peers and with university student mentors.  Let your students visit interesting corners of the world, wrestle with the complex dynamics of the Arab-Israeli Conflict, or participate in trans-historical conversations that might bring Confucius, Barack Obama and Queen Isabella together to share ideas.  The Interactive Communications and Simulations (ICS) group of the University of Michigan School of Education designs and facilitates web-based simulations that engage college students in mentorship, supporting project participants from upper elementary through high school. We offer your students a supportive place where they can express their ideas and exercise their creativity--I’ll tell you more about our projects and will fill you in about how you and your students can join us!
