I am reminded of an interview with the late John Lennon where he identified the different sections of Lennon/McCartney songs by the Beatles as ...Paul's bit, my bit. While songs such as "A Day in the Life"
may be thought of as a mystical blend of musical forces, the collaborations of John and Paul were still made up of separate musical inputs. Fortunately the ear allows blue and red to produce the colour purple for the listener, an awesome outcome.
So is collaboration a collection of bits? Yes and no.
In many respects we;
-get together
-discuss ideas/a brief
-identify roles
-work on "our bit"
-reconverge
-start the process over again until we have produced a collaborative outcome
So maybe collaboration is trust...creative trust. And once the trust is gone they break up the band.

I think that collaboration is a group of people who have the same intrest to work together in order to have the best outcomes, and that could save time and efforts for each other. My colleage Aisha Ali is a co operative teacher as always we do like to collaborate with each other by exchanging ideas and teaching materials like worksheets and powerpoint lessons for our units. I always like to share my ideas with the school teachers who teach different subject about their opinions or reflections for some educational issues like asking them for the best strategies for the classroom management for first graded students.
