Full Session Description (as long as you would like): The National Association for Media Literacy Education (NAMLE) is the major organization for media literacy education in the United States. Joining other countries in the goal of creating media literate global citizens, the group has developed and refined core principles for media literacy and materials with which to integrate skills across content areas and grade levels. In this presentation, the rationale for global media literacy education will be provided and along with examples applied to media from US, Canada, South Korea, and Mexico.
