In this session, we will introduce the World Peace Song project, developed from the song ‘We are One Family” composed by award-winning singers, “Woman of the World” for World Museum. This project is a cross-generational, cross-cultural project involving more than 50 schools in 36 countries. Students will all sing the chorus in English.Then they will write lyrics about what peace means to them in their native language for the melodies that they are provided with. They will record these melodies and share on a global website where students can interactively play all of the recordings. In this session, we will play some videos of our concerts/workshops, explain our plans for recording this song in 2017; play some example recordings, introduce some of our partners who will discuss their experience with this project in 2015 and invite new partners into this exciting peace project.
