I teach five classes of eighth-grade students from the Twelve Corners Middle School in Brighton, New York. We are currently studying World War II, and we are interested in gaining a global perspective on the war by collaborating with students from other countries that were involved in the war. We have put together a summary of different topics related to World War II and we would like to see what students in other countries are taught about those topics, and how that differs from what we have learned.
We would still appreciate any information that your students could provide about any or all of the topics. We are particularly interested in knowing if we are leaving anything out, and if you find any bias in the information that we have collected.
Our project involves the use of a wiki page. I can give you access to the wiki page so that your students can add content. You can model the information your students provide after the information that my students provide, or have your students write however and/or whatever they want. They can write as much or as little as they would like. Any connection or response would be very meaningful. Your students can add information directly to the wiki page (I’ll provide a username and password), they can send text documents, or they can send information in emails. We will begin entering our information on the wiki page during the week of April 13th.
Please let me know if you would like to participate.
Sincerely,
Chuck Kane
