Short bio or reason for joining Actionable Innovations Global:

I work as the Learning Center Coordinator at Rasmussen College. I manage the tutors and work with at-risk students. Before joining the Rasmussen team, I managed a non-profit organization for three years and worked as a Student Advisor at AIU Online for six years. At AIU Online, I spent a number of years working with Associates, Bachelors, and Masters level students. As a Student Services Advisor, I worked with students who just started their program through their first academic year. My time spent with new students and helping them to overcome obstacles and fears drew me to this position. I love holding a position where you can make a difference in someone's future. It's easy for me to promote higher learning because I believe that education can help students to achieve successful and fulfilling lives. I have a B.S. in Psychology and Spanish from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and a M.S. in Adult and Higher Education from Northern Illinois University. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family especially my three nephews and niece. I also enjoy traveling and studied abroad in Spain, rode a camel and camped in the Sahara Desert in Morocco, visited Hong Kong, the Canary Islands, Jamaica, and Costa Rica. My other passions are snowboarding, singing, and I recently started playing the drums.
