Short bio or reason for joining Actionable Innovations Global:

I am an educator having taught ESL and ESP at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the United States for 30+ years. My expertise is TOEFL, academic writing, and business communication. I have designed and taught credit and non-credit courses in all the aforementioned areas at the college level. As a bestselling TOEFL author and test-prep expert, I have come to realize that TOEFL and IELTS, and all major standardized tests, including the SAT and the GRE, favor those who can afford to take them while marginalizing those who can’t pay. For example, students in Afghanistan and the West Bank must pay almost two-hundred U.S. dollars to take the TOEFL test. This is not only an injustice but an outrage. As an educator, I am interested in correcting this injustice. To this end, I am seeking opportunities to help less fortunate students around the world by volunteering to teach online, be it TOEFL, composition, business writing, or any other academic subject.
