I joined GEC because I am a sincere advocate for global education and self directed learning. GEC seems like a community of like minded thinkers and activists. This is a great place to find people to network and collaborate with.


Global education projects or initiatives in which you are involved (if applicable):

I am the co-founder of Know My World, a cross cultural exchange initiative that emphasizes global education and self directed learning for educators, students and individuals around the globe. I developed a global curriculum resource and ran teacher training workshops in Nepal.

    Hi Genevieve, 

    CCM? Sorry, not familiar with the acronym. 

    I am not certain about specific global ed. at the elementary level, but I know they have clubs and groups. Coming from a very globalized city with many different nationalities at our school, there is a lot of focus on global citizenship and cross-cultural understandings. Most of the service-learning we do is at the high school level.
