Jon Markowich is a recognized, international champion for providing equity and opportunity for all students in the digital age. Over the past 15 years, he has had the unique privilege of serving as a speaker, trainer, writer, organizer, advocate, and educator for staff and students in elementary, middle, and high schools from “high-performing” suburban to turnaround urban, charter to non-charter, gifted to SpEd, ELL and Newcomer. In these roles Jon has learned from staff and students in various capacities of leadership, curricular design, professional development, STEM, technology, math, language arts, science, and social studies. Throughout his career he has learned experientially the fact that ALL staff and students are capable of success academically, socially, and emotionally so long as we do our jobs! Jon is always looking to collaborate with passionate partners in education including consulting opportunities, speaking engagements, teaching workshops, community and school partnerships, and guest speakers in person and virtually! Topics of particular interest include Blended Learning, Personalized Learning, Restorative Justice, Global Collaborations, Community Partnerships, and addressing Mental Health. A life-long learner, Jon is currently earning his EDD in Educational Leadership and Management focusing in Learning Technologies.
