Short bio or reason for joining Actionable Innovations Global:
Kaari Casey is the Program Manager for The Junior Academy at The New York Academy of Sciences. She is responsible for engaging a large network of students, mentors, and industry-leading companies in designing solutions for global challenges in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Prior to her work at the Academy, Kaari served as a high school science teacher in both the United States and Sweden. Following her formal classroom experience, she worked to design and implement environmental education programs for underserved youth throughout New York City. She holds a BS in Secondary Education/Biology from Penn State University and an MA in Biology from Miami University, Ohio.
