Lisa Petro is the Senior Education Advisor to the Americas region with Generation Global, a non-profit organization focused on providing training, resources and materials for intercultural dialogue in learning communities around the world. Lisa has over 18 years experience in Global Education as a Curriculum and Program Development Consultant and is Co-founder of Know My World, a Global Education resource organization, which focuses on the development of Social, Emotional, Academic, and Cultural Learning. Lisa has designed Global Education curriculum for PrepaTec, Tecnologico de Monterrey, in Monterrey, Mexico, Education for Employment, Ramallah, Palestine, The Albanian Youth Entrepreneurship Project in Tirana, Albania, and Your Success Now (YSN) in conjunction with Bloomberg Business Week and University of Central Florida in the United States. Lisa has offered cross-cultural training workshops in preparation for panel presentations at the 2016 and 2017 United Nations Commission on the Status of Women with young girls and women from over 17 countries through The Grail NGO. With a unique intersection of Social, Emotional and Cultural competence, Lisa has designed and implemented professional development workshops for educators through the Nepali Education Support Trust in Hetauda, Nepal, Japanese Exchange and Teaching Programme in Hirosaki, Japan, and a variety of other institutions and learning communities all over the globe including the American School Taichung in Taiwan and The Boys and Girls Clubs of America in New York. She has also presented dynamic cross-cultural workshops and lectures at the East Asia Regional Conference for Overseas Schools in Bangkok, Thailand, EARCOS in Shanghai, China, the State University of New York Collaborative Online Intercultural Learning conferences, and the Association for Childhood Education International in Washington D.C.
