Short bio or reason for joining Actionable Innovations Global:

I have worked as an English teacher for 18 years, teaching students in elementary and high schools in Zagreb, Croatia. I hold a BA in English and Italian language and literature from the University of Zagreb. I live and work in Velika Gorica, a town which used to be a part of Zagreb, the capital of Croatia and now is considered a separate town. I would like to join the GEC because I believe that English lessons should not teach children only English language but also promote positive values, that students learn more through collaboration and with the use of modern technologies. Social networks are excellent places for professional development - I strongly believe in sharing and collaboration.

  • Hello-

I'm a teacher in Calgary, Alberta helping a group of grade 8 students at my school conduct a global survey on worldviews. I'm wondering if you might be willing to take this survey (less than 5 mins) and perhaps spread it around - particularly with your students. We're trying to get as many non-North American respondents as we can.

You can get to the survey by clicking here.

Thanks so much for your consideration!
  • Hi Sanja,

I work with elementary school students in New York. I am using this website to speak with educators from other countries to learn more about schools in those places. Could you tell me more about what schooling is like in Croatia?
