Short bio or reason for joining Actionable Innovations Global:
I work in a Title 1 school in which many of my students have never seen the mountains or the ocean that is only 2 to 3 hours away. My goal is to expand their personal awareness to the world around them in order to further their understanding of cultures and issues beyond their environment.
Global education projects or initiatives in which you are involved (if applicable):
World-wide Flat Stanley project that traveled to Asia. Students learned about children living in dumps and how habitat for humanity is involved in creating new homes in safer environments. Also students were able to see school environments in those areas.
