Actionable Innovations is a professional learning community in which participants explore innovation in education. Every Friday we meet to discuss trends in education and invite inspiring guests to join us and share their work. Parents, educators, students, and other folks interested in improving teaching and learning are always welcome.
On Monday, May 9th at 8 AM CDT (GMT-5), author Bobbi Kurshan will discuss her life's work and new book with our professional learning community. Some important findings and key themes from InnovateHERs that will be addressed are:
- Why entrepreneurial women are poised to be successful leaders in purpose-driven organizations.
- How the female entrepreneurial mindset drives professional success in purpose-driven organizations.
- What you can do to develop your entrepreneurial skills and traits to achieve your career goals.
- Women don’t have to copy men and their entrepreneurial skills and traits to be successful. Leaning into traits that women tested highly on, like interpersonal sensitivity and passion, makes them incredibly effective in building out an organization, especially in mission-driven organizations.
- Success isn’t 100% dependent on mindset. External InhibitHERs—like financial instability, lack of mentorship, lack of representation, and your family history—do influence your success. But there are ways to convert these InhibitHERs into ActivateHERs to benefit your career, and women share insights on how to do that.
