The Leading Schools Summit is a multi-day event designed to provide principals with the support and professional learning opportunities they need to lead student-centered digital learning initiatives in their schools.

Job embedded

Attendees will have the opportunity to work side by side in a design thinking framework with four experienced principal coaches in four different strands.

1. School Culture and Change Management

Creating a culture that enables and supports innovation is a critical component for schools that want to make the digital transition. This strand explores approaches to fostering a culture based on trust, in which educators feel a willingness to take risks to improve teaching and learning.

2. Professional Learning

Digital learning transitions require time for teachers to prepare. Arranging for ongoing, job-embedded professional development that builds capacity among educators is key. This strand focuses on what makes professional learning effective and examines how other school leaders have implemented innovative models in their schools.

3. Community Engagement and Sharing Your Story

Engaging stakeholders and building support for a school-wide shift is often an area that is overlooked. This strand invites attending principals to share their stories and examine ways to build support, communicate a vision, and leverage the power of social media.

4. Learning Spaces

Dynamic learning environments play an important role in creating modern schools that support digital and personalized learning initiatives. This strand focuses on understanding how to create these spaces and the role that they play in student learning.

Who should apply?
Principals and Assistant Principals that are beginning, wanting to begin, or already making progress on a digital and personalized learning transition in their schools.
