Youth Empowerment/Peace Building Village

- Description: PEACE MAKERS WANTED!Multicultural Village is a simulated Village where youth spend 1 week with conflict resolution and peace building professionals in a relaxed, safe and fun environment where they learn to address conflict, to be active peace makers, socially responsible, culturally competent, make friends across racial, cultural and social divides while having tons of fun and making their mark on the culture of peace locally and globally! Project includes interactive workshop s about CONFLICT STYLES, COMMUNICATION, POWER AND OPPRESSION, VIOLENCE PREVENTION and BEING ENGAGED IN A COMMUNITY PROJECT (teaching the elderly in Natick Massachusetts to play Nintendo Wii and set them up on Face Book), rest and relaxation and common reflections.
