"World of 7 Billion" Student Video Contest

Bring creativity and global awareness into your classroom by incorporating the World of 7 Billion high school video contest. Challenge your students to create a short (60 seconds or less) video illustrating the connection between world population at seven billion and one of the following: climate change, global poverty, or water sustainability. Students can win up to $1,000 and their educators will receive free curriculum resources. The contest deadline is February 21, 2014. Purpose
The research community has a responsibility to provide the knowledge needed to move our society towards positive changes while impacting our youths. As such, the purpose of this conference is to promote youth employability and globalization. Apart from academics the conference aims at attracting a variety of business organizations with an interest in youth, employment and globalization, hence providing a space to blend theory and practice as well as to identify best practices.
Introduction
To have a better understanding into the objective of this conference we define globalization as a financial, economic, educational, technological, psychological, cultural, leadership and many other areas that interconnect and correspond with the interests of young people. We are living in a very complex, and fast-paced era.
