In the twenty-first century, countries are becoming increasingly interdependent. With the rise of the international community, the demands of globalization are being felt throughout the United States. As a result, it is imperative that today’s students are educated, global citizens that are aware of the world outside their borders.

The World Affairs Council—Washington, DC convenes its 22nd annual Summer Institute on International Affairs for high school educators and administrators July 23-July 27. This intensive, week-long seminar will include site visits and classroom resources. Focus will be on several global themes, including:

Global economics

Nuclear proliferation

Global warming

Failed states and democratization

Classroom resources

Join us for a fascinating survey of the most pertinent global issues and themes of today.

Seminar participants can choose to earn 3 graduate credits through the

Catholic University of America.

This program qualifies for continuing

education credits (40 hours).

WAC-DC arranges accommodations if needed
