I'm a musician, composer - turned IT educator over time. I help run The Global Challenge - a worldwide competition for high school students, who form small teams (2 US and 2 non-US) and then create an innovative solution to global warming that can scale to global proportions. The students research and study the science, technology, engineering and mathematics of their idea and build a proposal for a global business using concepts such as the "Ten Flatteners" and "Cradle-to-Cradle." The solutions are judged and then the students are awarded university scholarships.
I also created a game called simSchoolthat is designed to help devellop a teacher's knowledge and skills in differentiating instruction, planning, communicating, working with special populations, assessing, etc.
