Full Session Description (as long as you would like):
Polana Canico Building Project: This project is composed out of a group of AISM students through their service learning program and who have the will and enthusiasm to support the project to its full expansion. While being divided into smaller groups, some are teaching, advertising the sale of blocks of cement, building classrooms, a finance team and more. The overall purpose of this project would be to enlighten education in this specific village in Costa do Sol Maputo, Mozambique. This experience has been going on for about 2 years and it has proven to be one worthwhile idea to endure on. Building bricks will be a major part of this project experience however as well as water collection, plastering walls, and covering rooms.
Eschola Raina da Paz is also a community school being assisted by students of AISM's service learning program. Students are repairing desks, teaching English, painting murals, teaching and learning games with the community students and creating a greater resource base for the school.
Join us as we describe the benefits of reciprocal relationships in our communities.
