I am wondering if anyone is currently exchanging children's stories or would like to exchange children's stories. I started this a few years ago and am trying to find additional partners!

What age group and what kind of stories? I have some 2nd graders who will be making stories either with photostory or video this year... We are in Pennsylvania.
The catch is that the terms of agreement of both Ning and YouTube are ages 13 an above.
However an adult can post younger children videos.
That being said you could do this. Set up yourself or that school as an account on the Ning and set up a group under your name. You can complete change you personal page with the colors of school. Even the banner can be changed as it can on this site.
I have certificates of Cyber Storytellers for the children
If you would like to help us, I will send you the Word version of the documents and you could redo into an elementary version. We also have a Powerpoint that could be turned into an elementary version.
This site is being watch by countries all over the world even Pakistan. So you help could spread.
Now for something fun.
I live with orphanages and schools in Kenya, Zambia and do a course on gratefulness around what we eat and how we live. We could do a webinar on that. There is a site I built for some friends. http://purposedrivenedcenter.ning.com
Second grade stories are fabulous because they are easy to read and usually have fabulous illustrations. My personal email address is: nancycardenuto@gmail.com
I'd love to hear from you. I am also in PA - Kutztown.

We would love to work with you.
I have some thoughts for you on how we can share what you are doing with others. I have a friend working with disarmed children in the Nigeria delta and in the Kenya rift valley.
You can do several things:
Place photos of the childrens work in a PowerPoint and then they can be uploaded to www.slideshare.com. This will help promote your work. Once on slideshare you can place them on YouTube. In both slide share and YouTube you can add the sound of the children singing.
Another option is to sign up to the contest site of "I am Africa. This is my story..." Set up your page with your website colors and contact information. Post the children's art in a photo album.on the site. This site is wired in Google and will bring you traffic.

Thanks for your request for more information! "What does a child possess that can be freely given to other children across the world? Ideas, thoughts, and stories! Children's writing holds the potential to provided reading materials for those who do not have books, as well as to spark an examination of differing cultures from across the world." We have collected children's stories from the United States and shared the stories with children in Malawi and Mali. In addition, we have gathered children's stories from Mali and Malawi to share with kids in the U. S. By examining the stories, kids are able to see some dramatic differences as well as similarities between kids across the world. In addition, the "publishing" of these stories encourages both boys and girls to jump in and write some highly creative stories.

You the the teacher can post the video stories.
You should join the contest Ning http://i-am-the-story.ning.com. Got to the Training tab and then Curriculum to download the two guides on how to tell and produce a digital story.
