Greetings GEC Members -
We're about 36 hours away from the conference finale! Can you believe it?!?!
Don't forget to watch two amazing documentaries featured at the conference this week. You can view these films online for approximately 48 more hours. Greg Jacobs, co-director of Louder Than a Bomb and Carol Black, director of Schooling the World, gave excellent and provocative keynotes today. Find their session recordings on our Quick Links page and further information on accessing the films at http://globaleducation.ning.com/page/virtual-film-screenings.
Also, a huge thanks to Chris Dede, Howard Gardner, and Geetha Narayanan for their keynotes as well. We are so fortunate to have had the opportunity to hear from such highly respected and knowledgable experts. Interestingly, I think our keynote speakers all complement each other nicely and some common themes are emerging in their various messages. What are the themes that are emerging for you? Share your thoughts here!

Carrie Wagner was incredible! She, and her family are the truest form of global citizens I have ever met! Michael Lees, keep up your commitment and global summits!!!!! You all do such great work on behalf of global citizenship! I have to remind myself when I become envious of your lives, that I, like others, have tried in their own ways to educate students with knowledge of people, places, and cultures around the world, as well as teach young children the respect for all people, including the diverse students in their own classrooms. This conference has been so, so amazing for so many reasons. I feel, personally, that my isolation is less. We are all here for the same goal - we care about people in our world.
