Hello Global Educator Community!

Want some engaging and educational life stories from African students to share with your students?  Read on!

After years teaching in Boston, I am now in my second month with a wonderful youth nonprofit in Ghana.  We are currently eleven articles into compiling a treasure trove of Ghana student life stories on my website, http://www.AroundTheWorldL.com/

Several American schools are already using these articles in their curriculum, and I invite you to use them as well!  Just send me an email at lil707lil at gmail or leave comments on the blog to let me know how it's going!

You may use the right-hand sidebar on the blog to narrow the 250 articles on my site to only see the student essays, or you may just click on this link here to do it automatically:

I hope these articles are useful to you and interesting and instructive to your students!

In International Teacher Solidarity,
Lillie

  • Thanks for sharing these Lillie! I'm not sure I'll be able to use them with my 3rd graders, but they are educational for me and I really enjoy reading them. I'll pass the link along to my colleagues in the middle school. This is a great example of cultural exchange and writing for an authentic audience.
