ASCD, a nonprofit dedicated to excellence in learning, teaching, and leading, is pleased to announce the 2018 Global Leadership Summit in partnership with the GlobalEd Events, March 23, 2018, in Boston, Mass. Teachers, school and district administrators, and thought leaders will gather at the one-day event to turn global competence ideas into implementable actions.
“ASCD is thrilled to host the 2018 Global Leadership Summit,” stated Ronn Nozoe, ASCD Associate Executive Director. “It is imperative that as 21st-century learners, today’s students are educated to be globally competent critical thinkers ready to engage in the world.”
The third annual summit comes one day before ASCD’s Empower18: The Conference for Every Educator, designed to help educators enhance their craft in learning, teaching, and leading. The Global Leadership Summit is aimed at practitioners interested in preparing their students with the skills to succeed in a globalized, interconnected world.
The interactive, engaging program will include expert panelists, inspiring Ignite presentations, and workshops with experienced leaders who will help participants leave with an action plan to make their school or organization more globally-oriented.
“GlobalEd Events is pleased to partner with ASCD on hosting this exciting and important summit. Our intention is to grow the global education movement and raise awareness of the importance of developing global competence in students and teachers,” said Lucy Gray, GlobalEd Events cofounder. “Through this summit, we hope to involve more education leaders and schools in initiatives that support globally connected teaching and learning.”
