Hi everyone!
My name is Ryder Cobean and I work at the International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX) in Washington, DC. We have a program that connects High School classrooms in the US with classrooms in Kyrgyzstan through educational online projects. Our projects are free, they are conducted in English, and they take place on our secure online platforms.
We are now recruiting teachers for our second round of online projects this school year, and I thought I might reach out to you all to see if you would be interested in participating in our projects. We work with our participating teachers to tailor the projects to their interests and availability. We've recently begun adding Skype videochats to our projects to allow the classrooms to connect with one another in a new way.
If you would be interested in finding out more and discussing possible avenues of collaboration, please do not hesitate to contact me at rcobean@irex.org. I have attached our teacher manuals and our application to this message as well. Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you!

Hello Ryder,
My name is Sushmita Hodges and I teach World history at SPA in St. Paul and I would love to explore the opportunities for my classes to collaborate with schools in Kyrgyzstan for the academic year 2011-2012.
Topics can range from the Cold War to the impact of globalization in the post-Cold War period.
Please let me know how to proceed.
Thanks,
Sushmita
