Methods of how and why to integrate global content into the classroom

While textbook and gaming learning curriculum is self-contained, content and context in how we learn on a daily basis through smart phone and Internet appliances are not. While classroom child in confined to lesson worksheet. Outside of the classroom box they use smartphones to locate answers to life’s problems are scattered globally around the world.
Instructional design needs to open its doors to creating curriculum that leverages the web resources outside of the confines of the classroom.
This session will provide a Global Learning Framework and examples of curriculum design that leverages open global web content for lessons with either a standup or online class. Samples will be provided on an online course used to develop a business plan for African aqua farmers.
Richard C. Close, MS IDT is the CEO of Chrysalis Campaign, Inc., an NGO that develops transformational learning programs in the US and Africa. Mr. Close has 20 plus years of experience in corporate, NGO and educational learning environments.
