Leadership and technology

With the technology advancing and students becoming adept at such a fast pace how do you as administrators help staff who are moving with the students, stay supported when policy and procedure mechanisms aren't made for moving learning tools forward in a timely fashion. Students and staff aren't able to get hardware to move their teaching and learning environment forward for the here and now world. Even ministry seems to be lagging in their focus and policy development for 21st century learning.  How do you move the tools, skills and knowledge in your role for the benefit of all students.

I have been the IT manager since 2007 . I have tried to stimulate teachers to improve their IT skills and offered them training workshops, but I have found out that teachers' age is a key factor: the younger the teachers are, the more interested they are in using IT tools in their classes.

    • same as above ... Please share some of the specific methods you have used to stimulate teachers.

  • Being an administrator for 20years I tried to do my best to stimulate teachers to improve their knowledge, using innovations. It needs to encourage them!

    • Can you offer any specifics about how you stimulated the teachers under your administration?

    • As a teacher I prefer my  students to do projects on different thems.

We use learning courses, which I created with my students
