Full Session Description (as long as you would like):

Want to learn how to manipulate meeting notes, research information, and data all at the same time?  Come learn how to create and share your work with co-workers, teachers, and even students that you can access from anywhere using Microsoft Office OneNote .  During the session participants will create their own digitally interactive notebook  to organize instructional resources in order to deliver powerful lessons and also share these resources with students.  Participants will also learn to organize, share resources and collaborate with other staff members, committees and PLC/CLT’s.  Finally, participants will leave with a supply of resources to help them re-create the same notebooks and tools we created in this session.  Participants will get the most out of this session if they bring a laptop with Microsoft Office 2007 or 2010 Installed.

Thanks for your submission to present at the 2011 Global Education Conference. Your proposal looks promising, but could benefit from some additional language that ties your work to the conference theme of global collaboration. The conference seeks to present ideas, examples and initiatives related to connecting educators and classrooms around the world with an emphasis on promoting global awareness and instilling global competency in students. This is not a general education conference nor a technology conference. Please review your submission and adjust accordingly, so that participants clearly understand how your work fits into the mission of the conference.

    Hi Samuel -

Thanks for submitting a proposal for the conference. Our focus is on presenting globally engaging opportunities for educators, and perhaps you can refine your proposal to reflect how Microsoft OneNote can impact global collaborative projects. Examples and language related to this would be very helpful. Technology is definitely an underlying theme of the conference, but proposals should focus less on tools and more on how global competency and awareness can be fostered through the use of collaborative tools. Hope this makes sense!
