As some/most of you may know Red Hand Day, February 12, is a day on which people around the world are encouraged to voice their concerns regarding child soldiering to the UN. I am going to have my students putting together PSA campaigns, after reading Along Way Gone, to bring promote local universities involvement in this day. I was wondering if anyone would like to collaborate. Please feel free to get in touch with me!

Hi and I am creating an online history of art around the world course on line at ahaafoundation.org
I have found hand prints every where I go. I am interested that this is called Red Hand Day. I am no longer in the classroom so can not offer the help you need. Congratulations on your projcet.
Where is your school located? Last year we had our sophomores create posters to take stand against the use of child soldiers as part of the Red Hand campaign. I teach World history at St. Paul Academy in St. paul Minnesota. Would love to hear more about your project.
