  • My hunch is that the more novice a student is in any endeavor, the more knowledge they need.  For instance, a student will struggle to comprehend and understand a reading with words they don't know the meaning of, so the bottom of Bloom's Taxonomy is essential.  As students' knowledge base grows and they mature, they become able to fully engage in the higher-order thinking skills of applying, analyzing, and evaluating.
