Full Session Description (as long as you would like):

Appleseeds Academy is an Israeli-based non-profit working with government, private sector and civil society partners in designing and implementing social technological initiatives that respond and meet the challenge of under-served communities in Israel.

These efforts have shown remarkable results which I would like to share in my presentation, focusing on overviewing Appleseeds' Tech youth movement.

Net@ was established in 2003 as a technology youth movement for underprivileged communities in Israel. A recent M&E research on the program's alumni indicates that participants score an average of 94% on their matriculation exams – compared to the national average of 44%, and 65% of graduates are employed in high-ranking technological units compared to the national average of 23%. The alumni salaries are 2.5 times higher than the average national salary. The session aims to share some of the best practices and methods of how distilling 21st skills in Net@'s curriculum made such a huge change in the lives of thousands of youngsters in Israel during the last decade.
