We are receiving many requests an inquiries on our UNESCO Power of Peace Network campaign "I am African. this is my story..." Some of the inquiries are from Arab states. Therefore here is information for your staff.
The fisrt trip to Africa was very successful and ended up being a more powerful empowerment tool against poverty than we anticipated.
We update the curriculum and lectures that your organization can download at no cost. Pay close attention to the points on how Internet collaboration is a peace building and empowerment tool.
The idea was to empower youth to tell positive life stories of determination and reverse the negative image the press has created of African youth. These are done on a YouTube channel that is on the site:
Our next step will be to return and do town wide events with workshops for: youth, small business and community leaders on the impact that Internet resource can have on the acceleration of growth and development. These events will be called CyberDays. All we need is funding to return. There are over 200 people in media and film who will help once we are on the ground again
