One of the best predictors of academic success is how much hope students have for the future, yet they are rarely given the skills to realistically and creatively think about the future or to take action toward a better future amid the complex forces of change. Teach the Future, a nonprofit whose mission is to bring foresight into schools around the world, is working with teachers to change that and to bring futures thinking to every student.

This session will highlight the rationale for incorporating foresight into the existing curriculum, provide examples of how that has been done in an international setting, including UNICEF’s early planning and pilot efforts, and offer resources and tools to help educators begin to teach the future.
