Some of you might be interested in a conference that Harvard’s Graduate School of Education is planning for this spring. It will be a new venture, with lots of interaction and a number of interesting K-12 educators participating, as well as a few people from the teacher education field.
The conference will offer opportunities for expert / peer consultations on school practice; case studies on a couple of Boston-area schools implementing programs with global dimensions; use of technology to develop global interactions; school partnerships/ travel; curriculum; and teacher professional development.
Fernando Reimers, who is responsible for the event, has been a strong advocate for global education. I find his ideas about global competencies to be clear and compelling.

Yes, as an ESL teacher and school counseling intern, I'd be interested.

I am extremely interested in finding out more about this conference. I am a high school World history teacher at SPA in St. Paul Minnesota and have had my classes participate in global collaborative projects over the course of the past 4 years. I would love to network with other educators who are also implementing similar practices in their classrooms.
Please let me know the dates and cost of this conference.
Thanks,
Sushmita Hodges
