Full Session Description (as long as you would like): The Global Humanities Institute at Montgomwry College was created four years ago thanks to a Bridging Cultures grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. Our programs include faculty training, creation of new courses and Learning Communities, public edu stop be ends, and international academic partnerships (www.montgomerycollege.edu/globalhumanities). This presentation will provide information on our faculty training and course modification program, arguably our most important work. Contents will include: format for teaching our faculty fellowships, the learning objectives for our trainings and and the modified courses, the rubrics we use to design and implement global learning, and our mission of disseminating the products of our work broadly. Participants will be invited to share their own work and to engage in conversation with the presenter and other participants. Handouts will be shared.
