I teach courses with global focus and also lead a program that is funded by a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, The Global Humanities Institute at Montgomery College. This program provides professional development for faculty, collegewide events, and travel abroad.

    I am a community college professor and am especially interested in how this model for higher education may be of interest and benefit to colleagues in other nations. Some efforts have already been made to familiarize others with this middle-road educational option for students who woudl not normally have the opportunity to pursue post-secondary education.
