I have a social utility called globalvisits.com. We have had several projects linking US university students with students from Afghanistan, Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa. I am giving a presentation at an international conference this fall how these types of projects via a social utility can help colleges with small budgets internationalize their curriculum. I would to hear from those of you teaching at the university or college level who have used such internet driven interactive tools in your classroom. What projects did you engage in? And with with students from where? What problems did you encounter.....our biggest problems were always connected with access to technology and high speed Internet.....not a problem for the US, but a huge problem for people living in developing countries. HOw did the students respond? Please join me in this discussion.
