Short bio or reason for joining Actionable Innovations Global:
I have been involved in international collaboration for teachers and students for 20 years. I think teachers and students need to learn from the world, not about the world. I am currently the professional development coordinator for iEARN-USA. I have been a coordinating teacher for technology integration and Media coordinator in North Carolina, and worked in an international school partnership program with the NC Center for International Understanding of The Uninversity of North Carolina.

Grades 6-12 Time Project Nov. 26-30, 2012 Bringing Social Justice To The World
Hi Diane
I thought I would share with you a global student project taking place right now as I thought you would be interested.
The #world11kids project is part of the UN's ITUWorld Conference taking place in Geneva, Switzerland in a few weeks time.
We are inviting 10,000 kids from around the world to design solutions to the toughest of world problems and put challenges to the world leaders who will gather at the conference.
We are looking for schools to get involved and thought you might be able to help.
You can find out more here http://world2011.us/
best wishes

Deb finally contacted me and I am going to do a one day workshop on Cross-Cultural Collaboration in January. I will be sharing many resources, including iEARN.
I shared the project books with a teacher friend at Dearborn Schools and a service-learning coordinator in Lowell. I'll be meeting with both of them later this month, and I'll talk with them more about getting their teachers involved.
It's incredible how I came to this network of educators. I simply wrote Global Educators ( Educadores Globais - the name we chose to our NGO in Brazil) in Google and there they are. Then, I met you and Ed here. It's awsome to be about funding our group down here.
Cheers...
Cheers,
Tommie
