Short bio or reason for joining Actionable Innovations Global:
I work with the World Savvy Monitor, a bimonthly online subscription-based publication that offers an in-depth examination of one issue or region in an easy-to-read and objective format. The Monitor also features two companion documents: a Salon Guide for initiating community-wide discussions on the current edition, and a Classroom Companion, featuring leveled readings written by World Savvy staff, discussion questions, lesson plans, and suggested resources. Guess we are neighbors. I am an upper school world history faculty at St. Paul Academy and Summit school and teach primarily sophomores and seniors. In the last two years my honors seminar seniors have participated in the NAIS sponsored Global Challenge 20/20 project with schools in India. Currently I am seeking partnerships for schools from the BRIICS countries for a BRIICS curriculum project that Iam working on this summer. I have created a BRIICS classroom ning and am working on a wiki so that students from class can interface on discussions on political and economic developments in the BRIICS countries.
I would love to share your insights and invite you to join the ning.
Thanks,
Sushmita Hodges
