  • Check out materials from TEAM EARTH, a group of nonprofits including Conservation International and several foundations:

    http://www.epals.com/projects/info.aspx?divid=teamearth_home

Anyone can use these without cost.

Click on Challenge: Climate to open up several links with great resources (in English) for students. There's information, videos and games about climate change and forests, what individuals can do and what larger groups can do.

Click on Teachers' Corner for ideas to use with students, from 30 minutes to a several-week collaborative project with classrooms in multiple countries.

Click on Students Speak Contest to see K12 students entries, a one-minute presentation/video on some aspect of climate change, such as what they can do, or what they recommend government leaders need to do. (The contest is closed, but it's fascinating to see the responses from children in different countries and different ages.)

Also see Biodiversity, another focus area with rich resources:

    http://www.epals.com/projects/info.aspx?divid=biodiversity_home

On that "Main" page, scroll down to see some of the great interactive activities, many prepared by museums or conservation groups.

Click on Key Concepts to open links with resources about ecosystems, conservation, preservation and more.

Click on Teachers' Corner for lesson plans and ideas.

Click on Virtual Field Trip and Earth Day Film Festival to see some great videos made by students and by professionals.

Visit the Student Forum on Biodiversity: http://www.epals.com/forums/241.aspx Your students can view everything there. To post a question or answer, you will have to give them a free ePals account.

Good luck to you and your classmates!
