  • Hello Peter.

My school email is kibara@egrps.org, and I also can be reached at kim.ibara@gmail.com (where I forward most of my school emails anyway).

    ¡Chao!
  • Hi Peter. Well now this IS getting exciting! We just started our spring break so I will have a chance to check out your web page and take a look at the courses you offer. Regarding other classes getting involved I would love to look at this option as well. I can see great opportunity for a longer-term relationship here. Right now I travel every other summer to France and Spain with students, and I am excited to think about a possible trip to Peru on the off year (spring or summer of 2011). Because I teach juniors this year, it would be a great time to begin planning something that would bring these students together before (or shortly after) they graduate.

I am looking forward to reviewing your service project and putting together ideas for a global community service collaboration. I've been wanting to do this for some time now and it seems that we now have a way to make it happen!

I will be in touch soon!
  • Hi Peter.
My students are in the 16-17 year range. I am open to suggestions as far as how we can collaborate. If we could focus on some type of project where our students go back and forth in Spanish and English that would be great (if you would like for your students to get practice in English). Or we could keep it in Spanish. I'm not sure what types of projects you are involved in so I'm not quite sure how we could put a collaboration together. Perhaps you could teach my class about a particular project and then we could put together an informational campaign here to raise support...? Maybe we could share a wiki or blog space together, Skype, etc. to have the students get to know one another and work on a rubric together.

I am open to whatever will fit into your structure. Let me know!

    Kim
  • Hi Peter. I teach Honors Spanish at a Michigan high school and am a 1:1 laptop pilot classroom. I am interested in any collaborative project in which my students could learn about the Peruvian culture and practice the Spanish language, and would be open to a bi-lingual collaboration as well. I would love to work with you somehow. What do you think?
