I am passionate about leading positive change and growth in a quietly competent manner and enjoy networking with educators from around the world.
I have a BS degree in Foreign Language Education - English Language Teaching. I have experience in teaching English Language and Literature in a variety of settings, K-16 bilingual curriculum design and coordination, school administration and pedagogical leadership (curriculum coordinator-vice-principal, principal), IB (International Baccalaureate) accreditation consultancy/professional development facilitation/coordination/teaching, mentoring programme design and coordination.
As an independent/freelance educator, in the past 10 years, I served 12 schools in 7 countries as Remote PYP Consultant (1-3 years of remote consultancy which includes a two-day visit to the school, to help the school meet IB Programme Standards and Practices required for authorization as an IB World School), and led more than 40 in-school and regional PYP and IB Continuum workshops in 18 countries around IBAEM and IBAP regions. I also served 20 schools and 3 universities as independent/freelance PYP/MYP/DP/IBEC (IB Educator Certificate) accreditation consultant. What I did was help school communities develop or review/revise or rejuvanate their mission statement, as well as develop a strategic plan, a matching budget and policy documents, and hence focus and reflect on who they are, and plan for desired change. I also mentor/coach individual educators and teacher candidates to reflect on and expand their career options.
In October 2022, I moved to Indonesia to join ACG School Jakarta as Vice Principal & PYP Coordinator.
