Stephen has been living and working in the Middle East since 2002. He has developed a broad network of contacts from 15 years working in public relations and representing billion-dollar technology companies including Cisco, Microsoft, Nokia and incumbent telco, Etisalat. In the latter role he held the position of Senior Manager, CSR and Sponsorship, engaging in development projects across Africa, the Middle East and into Asia. In 2015 he was recruited to the UN Foundations' Global Comms Corp, helping to catalyse the launch of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, most notably within the UAE and Kuwait. He has since been invited to performe duties for both the UAE and Pakistan chapters of the UN Global Compact (UNGC), the Global Goals World Cup, the UN Department of Global Communications in Salt Lake City, The Climate Reality Project as an expert panelist in a private, premier screening of "An Inconvenient Sequel", Unilever during its "Build Back Better 2021" conference and many more. As a result of Stephen's engagement with the UAE's National Committee on SDGs, Middlesex University was invited to write a chapter on education for the National Voluntary Review presented to the UN in 2018. He would later be invited to introduce the SDGs to school children as part of a national initiative to teach 100 World's Largest Lessons on the occasion of the late ruler of the UAE's birthday. Earlier, between 2016-17 Stephen organised two 6-week summer programmes in Netherlands and UK, advocating the SDGs to small and medium businesses, and start-up entrepreneurs out of the Impact Hub Amsterdam and Impact Hub Westminster. He was also invited to deliver smaller workshops in Budapest, Dubai, Hong Kong, Geneva, London, and Ras Al Khaimah He holds a master's degree in Global Governance and Sustainable Development from Middlesex University and a bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Marketing from Lancaster University.
