I am an "curriculum integration" specialist, using literacy as the center of social studies. If any school system would like to use my field of expertise, I would be happy to speak with you! I won the "Elementary Social Studies Teacher of the Year" by the National Council of Social Studies in 2009. Please contact me at marcyprager@mac.com if you would like more information.

You need to be a member of Actionable Innovations Global to add comments!
If you haven't already, get a LinkedIn account and create your "consulting in retirement" resume there. Ask some people to write recommendations for you. Include links to articles you have written or presentations you have made. Give a good overview of what kinds of things you could help with.
Look at groups in LinkedIn that might be helpful, including the one for educational consultants. Join some of them and participate in the discussions. Ask for advice from others.
Your award from NCSS is awesome, so be sure to include info about what led to your getting that terrific recognition!
Also think about what organizations might be important for you to join or continue membership, including NCSS and your state affiliate. How can you get involved with them and share your expertise and insights? Speaking at conferences is one way that also gets you visibility.
