  • Hi David!
    Lucy sent me your information.

I run an international project called Rock Our World. We work together with our team to create movies, music and meet each other in live video chats. We celebrate the entire project with a live worldwide webcast, bringing all of the schools together!

Rock Our World is looking for schools in Africa to join our new season on the topic of Peace! We will be working with award-winning author and illustrator Peter H. Reynolds as he teaches us the art of animation! Applications are Sept. 10th. www.tinyurl.com/row13application
We'd love to work with your school!

  • Hello,
Our 7th grade students (ages 12-13 years old) from Raleigh, NC are seeking student partners from Morocco to exchange emails and digital images about life and culture in both countries. Our students are English speaking, although I speak some French. We might also post the pictures and comments on a wiki if you have available technology and expertise. Do you know of anyone who would be interested? Our teacher would like to do this immediately. (the class we were connected with just opted out).
Looking forward to hearing from you.

  • Hi David, just checking in to see if you want to Skype this week or next. I thought it would be nice if you and I could speak first and talk about what we want our students to do. Do you by any chance have oovoo? I learned about it from Errol Keet, another GEC member and it allows you to make a video recording of your conversation which is great.
Look forward to hearing from you soon.

  • David,
I definitely want to Skype with your students. We are muddling our way through beginning of the year "stuff" but maybe we can touch base this week and discuss what we want to do. I am available between 9:30 and 10:30 my time so 1:30 to 2:30 yours. Are you free during this time? What is your Skype id? Mine will be through our media center specialist so I will have to check with her and let you know. Thanks so much for keeping in touch! I am very excited about connecting our students. :)
  • Thanks so much for the info. I will check out the blog. Let's keep in touch for next year. :)

Wow! I was wondering why your profile said Morocco! Congrats on your new position. What will you being doing there? I really want to go work in an international school one day!
  • Hi David,
I am looking for a group of students to talk with my 7th grade class in North Carolina. Do you have Skype and a webcam, and if so, would you be willing to get your students and mine together? This is kind of last-minute with only a few weeks left of school but I would really like to connect my students with kids from a country we've studied.
    Thanks.
