Short bio or reason for joining Actionable Innovations Global:

I really am interested in making the students' life a better and a healthy environment where students needs and aspirations would be valued. I see students in my society given less importance than they ought to. It is, to my opinion, high time we honour the students!

  • Hello and thanks so much for your response. I have a university lecturer who teaches communications and would like to connect his classroom in a short project with an instructor either in communications or psychology in a diverse part of the world. Algeria would be fascinating! Do you think you would be interested in exploring this further with him? Can I ask that you please register on Global Visits (www.globalvisits.com) and there you will be able to connect with him. Once you sign up, I can direct you to a special group set up for these type of exchanges. It is just like this ning site. Betty
  • Global Visits is looking for university instructors who would be interested in working with university instructors in the United States on classroom projects, using the Internet as the tool to link the two classrooms and instructors. Projects could be how ever each instructor would like to have them develop and integrated into the regular course or syllabus. The idea is to open the global door for students who might not otherwise have a chance to engage in a traditional study abroad, but have a profound need to engage in a global project. Since 2003, we have linked students from the US with students from Afghanistan, the Middle East and Africa via the Internet and our work was recognized by the Institute of International Education at their 4th Annual Best Practices Conference in 2009. Come to our web site , take a look, sign up (you will not be spammed!!) and please introduce yourself to me. I would like to meet you. I am meeting an increasing number of US instructors who want to connect their classroom, and I hope you are interested! Betty Tonsing, Founder/President, Global Visits www.globalvisits.com
  • Hello Neil,

Of course, I will take the survey and I'll let my students respond as well. Don't to help me. It's a pleasure to be useful!

    Peace

  • Hello-

I'm a teacher in Calgary, Alberta helping a group of grade 8 students at my school conduct a global survey on worldviews. I'm wondering if you might be willing to take this survey (less than 5 mins) and perhaps spread it around - particularly with your students. We're trying to get as many non-North American respondents as we can.

You can get to the survey by clicking here.

Thanks so much for your consideration!
